Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
In2Science UK
Since 2021, we support students from disadvantage backgrounds through the In2Science UK program.
In2scienceUK exists to unlock the potential of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and boost diversity and inclusion in the sector to ensure the UK remains at the forefront of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) based industries.
With salaries in STEM being 20% higher than other sectors, this helps young people progress to better-paid jobs and economic stability.
In2STEM UK
Since 2023, we support students from disadvantage backgrounds through the In2STEM UK program.
In2STEM (formerly the In2science summer programme) is a fantastic opportunity for 16-19-year-olds (Year 12 or S5/S6) passionate about STEM. Running from July 22 to August 23 2024, the programme offers a blend of online and in-person activities, equipping participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to excel in STEM.
"We believe the next Einstein will be African"
Maximizing Africa's Research Output
Matterhorn Studio has greatly benefited from the talent that is being trained up in Africa with initiatives such as the AIMS Next Einstein Initiative.
We identified two core issues for the development of African research in Statistics and Machine Learning:
Africa needs more home-grown research leaders to increase it's research output.
African talents struggle to access productive supervision to become leaders in their field.
Therefore, it's Matterhorn Studio's mission to faciliate the growth of strong supervision relationships both via our network as well as with funding.
